Maison de Bricollage takes its name from the French word bricolage, the art of using a combination of materials that make their own visual language. This process celebrates creativity, resourcefulness, and imagination, transforming the ordinary into the remarkable. Our name features two Ls, merging the words bricolage and collage to represent how we repurpose found objects, each with its own history, to create work that is propriatary to our company. We are not mass produced or have a wholesale market. These pieces carry stories of their own, ready to become part of yours.
Mix it up
My artwork is a tapestry of hundreds of pieces of bricolage—stamps, documents, photos, magazines, newspapers, fabrics, books—all found or gifted materials. Each piece carries a history: the letters once written, the books once read, the documents once touched. Through my work, these fragments of the past are revived, connecting the lives they once touched with yours. What many might see as discarded remnants, I see as history waiting to be retold. And whoever touches the brand weaves new stories into its legacy. As a former art director and professor of graphic design and fashion doodler who has collected bricollage my entire life, I have merged my passions together under one roof. Welcome.
